EMCC OFFERING NEW HEAVY CIVIL CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM

East Mississippi Community College’s new Heavy Civil Construction program will teach students how to, among other things, operate heavy equipment, such as this excavator and backhoe.

Heavy Civil Construction, a 12-week, non-degree program with classes beginning Jan. 11, 2021, can bridge the gap between those seeking skills to go to work and employers in the Golden Triangle area and beyond.

East Mississippi Community College Wellness Director Cathy Castleberry in a new area of the Wellness Center dubbed LionFit, which features equipment used in high-intensity, functional-fitness workouts.
