The Adult Education Launch Pad on East Mississippi Community College’s Golden Triangle campus conducted a graduation ceremony on May 28 for students who had earned their high school equivalency diplomas.
Fifty-six students met the requirements to earn their diplomas, with about 40 of those participating in the ceremony that took place in the Lyceum Auditorium. Graduates included students from EMCC’s Adult Education Launch Pad on the Golden Triangle campus, as well as satellite locations in Columbus and West Point.
Special remarks were made by EMCC President Dr. Scott Alsobrooks and Nikitna Barnes, assistant director of Adult Education for Grants and Special Programs at the Mississippi Community College Board.
EMCC Vice President of Instruction Dr. James Rush was the guest speaker. He was introduced by EMCC Chief Financial Officer Tammie Holmes. EMCC Director of Adult Education Tshurah Dismuke provided the closing remarks.
