Employees from EMCC’s Business Office, Human Resources, Payroll, Bookstore, Logistics, and Lion Hills departments came together for a full day of engagement, learning, leadership development, and team building at the Lion Hills Center & Golf Course Tuesday, Dec. 16.

The event featured Pastor and retired U.S. Navy Commander Christopher Verdell, who delivered amazing insights on leadership development and flawlessly-facilitated several interactive breakout sessions throughout the day. These sessions included Leading from the Middle, tailored for middle managers and supervisors, and Working Better, Together, which emphasized strengthening collaboration across teams and offering practical solutions for operational enhancements.

During the event, Chief Financial Officer Tammie Holmes recognized Brandi Atkinson, Tonya Hunt, and Leslie Williamson for earning their MBA degrees. She also presented Darby Unruh and Rodney Brooks as the inaugural recipients of these departments’ Catalyst Award and Difference Maker Award, respectively.

The event underscored EMCC’s continued commitment to leadership development, teamwork, and employee engagement.
