The Adult Education Launch Pad on East Mississippi Community College’s Golden Triangle campus conducted a graduation ceremony on May 22 for students who had earned their high school equivalency diplomas.

About 60 students met the requirements to earn their diplomas, with the majority of those participating in the ceremony that took place in the Lyceum Auditorium. Graduates included students from EMCC’s Adult Education Launch Pad locations in Columbus, Macon and West Point, as well as the Scooba and Golden Triangle campuses.

EMCC President Dr. Scott Alsobrooks provided special remarks and the guest speaker was Beth Little, the state director of Adult Education and High School Equivalency for the Mississippi Community College Board’s Office of Adult Education. Some of the graduates spoke at the ceremony, as did 2020 Adult Education graduate Michael Momoh.
