EMCC ANNOUNCES 2025 HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES

East Mississippi Community College’s annual Homecoming parade will take place on the
college’s Scooba campus Wednesday, Oct. 8, beginning at 5:30 p.m., which will be followed
by a full day of Homecoming activities on Saturday, Oct. 11.
The Homecoming parade will start at Sullivan-Windham Field, turn right at Hawkins
Hall, turn left at the fitness center, left at the library, past Keyes T. Currie Coliseum
and back around to the football field.
Homecoming activities planned for Oct. 11 include:
- 9 a.m. — Tailgating area will open.
- 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. — Chapel in the Pines will be open.
- 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. — The bookstore will be open.
- 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. — A bouncy house across from Sullivan-Windham Field will open.
- 11 a.m. - noon — An Alumni & Friends Reception will take place in the F.R. Young Student Union where
Alumnus of the Year Richard Poole and Distinguished Service Award recipient Linda
Jackson will be honored.
- Noon — The recruiting tent for high school students opens in front of the stadium ticket
booth.
- Noon – 1:30 p.m. — An Alumni & Friends tailgate will take place across from Sullivan-Windham Field.
- 2 p.m. — Kickoff for the Homecoming football game against Northeast Mississippi Community
College.
- 1st Quarter — Mr. and Miss EMCC for the Scooba and Golden Triangle campuses will be recognized.
- Halftime — On-field recognition of the Alumnus of the Year and the Distinguished Service Award
recipient will take place. The 2024 Homecoming Court, comprised of freshmen and sophomore
maids from the Golden Triangle and Scooba campuses, will be presented, and the Homecoming
Queens will be crowned. The Scooba campus freshmen maids are Yazmiunna Beck of Brooksville,
Kaylee Goss of Louisville and Makiya Pickens of Toomsuba. The sophomore maids on the
Scooba campus are Tyra Lowery of Columbus, Kaleigh Smith of West Point, Taliyah Thomas
of Columbus, and Destinee Walker of Louisville. The freshmen maids on the Golden Triangle
campus are Ada Anderson of Columbus, Korie Stallings of Starkville and Lazaria Young
of West Point. The sophomore maids on the Golden Triangle campus are Aspen Helms of
Cumberland, Kennedy Bell of Crawford, Shakyrah Mullen of Columbus and Jenna Mosley
of Raymond.
- 3rd Quarter — Military veterans will be recognized.
In the event of rain, activities will be moved to Stennis Hall Auditorium immediately
