DOLLAR GENERAL LITERACY FOUNDATION GRANT TO SUPPORT EMCC ADULT EDUCATION EFFORTS

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation recently awarded East Mississippi Community College’s Adult Education Department a $10,000 grant that will be used to purchase instructional materials, supplies and software, as well as one-time gas cards for students with a demonstrated financial need.

Phi Theta Kappa chapters, advisors and student members on East Mississippi Community College's Golden Triangle and Scooba campuses were recognized during Phi Theta Kappa's Mississippi/Louisiana Spring Regional Awards at Mississippi State University. More


East Mississippi Community College alumna Makenzie Scarbrough graduated from the college in December of 2025 spent the next four months working as a paid intern at Walt Disney World in Florida. This fall she will enroll at the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s School of Dentistry.
