The inaugural class of the Aviation Manufacturing Technology program at The Communiversity at East Mississippi Community College is six weeks into the 10-week course designed to provide enrollees with an opportunity to land paid apprenticeships and possibly full-time employment with Airbus Helicopters Inc. in Columbus.

EMCC Board of Trustees members Ed Mosley, Evelyn Murray, Linda Jackson and Bubba Davis were honored for their years of service during the 2025 Mississippi Association of Community College Trustees Conference in Biloxi that took place June 9-11. Also in attendance at the conference were EMCC President Dr. Scott Alsobrooks, other EMCC Board of Trustees members, as well as members of EMCC’s Administrative Cabinet.

East Mississippi Community College held its annual Awards Day ceremony for the Scooba campus Monday afternoon in the Stennis Hall auditorium.

SCOOBA CAMPUS PRACTICAL NURSING STUDENTS ACHIEVE 100 PERCENT PASS RATE ON LICENSING EXAMApril 28, 2025

Recent graduates of the Practical Nursing program on East Mississippi Community College's Scooba campus had a 100 percent pass rate for the National Council Licensure Examination, or NCLEX-PN. Students must pass the test to receive their nursing license.
