Welding is offered in various welding disciplines utilized by today's industries. Training is available on the Golden Triangle and Scooba campuses, as well as West Point labs. Individuals must provide their own personal safety equipment: Welding Shield, Leather Gloves, Safety Glasses, Welding Sleeves and shop-appropriate work boots.

Industrial Welding
The Industrial Welding course is an introductory Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) course designed for the new welder to get a basic understanding of three relevant welding processes used in our local industries. This 40-hour course covers welding safety, equipment, filler metal and basic fillet welds on T-Joints welded in the four welding positions. Weld quality per current AWS code is used in the visual inspection of these welds. |
