SCOOBA CAMPUS

Three choral opportunities are available on EMCC’s Scooba campus: Concert Choir, Musical Theater and Reflections.

Concert Choir is the largest ensemble and members perform at more formal events, such as Homecoming, the Christmas Celebration and the annual Community College Festival at the MSU Riley Center in Meridian.

Reflections is a smaller, select group that performs contemporary a cappella music in a vocal jazz style. Students in Reflections serve as section leaders in the Concert Choir.

Music Theater takes place in the spring. Students are involved in all aspects of putting together a musical: singing, acting, dancing, costumes, props and set design.

No advance preparations are required for the auditions. Participants will be guided through the audition process.

GOLDEN TRIANGLE CAMPUS

Students in the Golden Triangle Concert Choir perform at various events throughout the year, including spring and fall choral concerts that are open to the public.

Members often perform at many of the more informal events on the campus, such as the annual lighting of the Christmas tree and the Pine Grove Arts Festival.
