Three Ways to Get Care

Don't wait until a "Clinic Wednesday" to seek help. Choose the method that fits your needs:

1. Telehealth Services (Monday – Friday)

Open to ALL EMCC Students (Including Online)

  • Best for: Immediate needs, prescription refills, and initial screenings.
  • Availability: Every weekday.
  • How: Call 662-705-2154 to connect from wherever you are.

2. On-Campus Physical Clinic (Bi-Weekly)

In-Person Exams & Chronic Care

Golden Triangle Location

Douglas Building, Room 140-B

Spring 2026: Jan 28 | Feb 11, 25 | March 18 | April 1, 15, 29

Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (By Appointment).

Scooba Location

3rd Floor Kemper Hall

Spring 2026: Feb 4, 18 | March 4, 25 | April 8, 22 | May 6

Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (By Appointment).

3. Nurse Amy (Scooba Campus Only)

  • Best for: Minor illnesses.
  • Availability: Every weekday.
  • How: Visit the Athletic Training Room.

  • Acute Care: Fast diagnosis/treatment for cold, flu, and common infections.
  • Chronic Management: Ongoing support for asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, and more.
  • Preventative Advice: Expert guidance to keep you healthy and in the classroom.

How to Prepare for Your Appointment

  • Student ID: Required for check-in to verify your student status.
  • Current Medications: A list of anything you are currently taking.
  • Insurance Card: While the consultation is covered, external labs or prescriptions may require private insurance.
  • Arrival Time: Arrive 5 minutes early. Late arrivals may need to be rescheduled.

Important Coverage & Emergency Info

Additional Costs

The $35 fee covers professional consultations. You or your insurance are responsible for:

  • Lab Work: Blood draws, cultures, or specialized screenings.
  • Imaging: X-rays, Ultrasounds, or MRIs performed off-site.
  • Prescriptions: Medications filled at a retail pharmacy.

After-Hours & Emergencies

Our phone line is monitored during standard business hours only.

  • Medical Emergency: Dial 911 immediately. Scooba campus: Contact campus police before dialing 911.
  • Non-Emergency After 3:00 PM: Contact a local Urgent Care facility.
