Bubba Davis is a graduate of West Point High School. Davis attended East Mississippi Junior College and played two years of football for Coach Bull Sullivan. After graduating from EMJC, Davis attended Delta State University where he played football and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree. Currently, in his 55th year of coaching, Davis serves as an assistant coach at Starkville Academy and volunteers with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He also serves as the 2nd Vice President of the National High School Athletic Coaches Association. He is married to Dr. Cathy Davis, Head of School at Oka Hill Academy. They attend Calvary Baptist Church in West Point. They have five children and nine grandchildren.

Mrs. Dyess is a native of Yazoo County, and has lived in Clay County for five years. Mrs. Dyess was appointed to the East Mississippi Community College Board of Trustees in 2009. She received her undergraduate degree from Mississippi University for Women and her master’s degree from The University of Southern Mississippi.  Previously she has taught Art K-12 in both public and private schools.  She enjoyed a 10-year career at William Carey University, where she was on the art faculty and served as director of the Lucile Parker Art Gallery. Currently, she serves on the West Point/Clay County Arts Council (past president), chairs the Main Street Design Committee, and volunteers her time in various civic endeavors. She is a member of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation in West Point. She is married to J. Dwight Dyess, retired president of Cadence Bank in West Point, and they have one son, Walker.

Tim Heard has served as the Director of Computer Services at the Golden Triangle Planning and Development District for the past 32 years. Prior to his tenure at GTPDD, he held positions as Director of Academic Computing at Mississippi University for Women (MUW) and as a Computer Analyst at East Mississippi Community College (EMCC). In addition to his full-time roles, Tim owns and operates Heard Computer Services, where he provides IT support and consulting services to small businesses.

A resident of Columbus, Mississippi for the past 40 years, Tim and his wife, Sharon, have two children, Chris and Crystal, and are proud grandparents to Joel and Jaxson. He currently serves as Vice President of the MUW Federal Credit Union and is an active member, along with his wife, of the Church of Christ Divine Apostolic Church. 

Dr. Keith Gaskin currently serves as the Mayor of the City of Columbus, MS.  He has been a resident of Lowndes County since 1987.  He was appointed to the EMCC Board of Trustees in 2021.  He has held several  leadership roles in Institutional Advancement during his career including Mississippi State University, The University of Alabama and the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science Foundation among others.  He holds a Ph.D. in Community College Leadership, a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi.  He is married to Gaines Bateman Gaskin and is the proud father of two adult children and one grandson.

Hazel Johnson is a native of Noxubee County. She retired in 1998 after teaching grades 3-5 for more than 27 years in the Noxubee County School System. She currently works part-time as a payroll clerk for B&B and Brooks Auto in Brooksville. Mrs. Johnson earned a bachelor's degree in education from Rust College in Holly Springs and a master's degree in education from the University of Mississippi. In 2005, she was appointed to the Noxubee County School Board and was elected from 2006 to 2012. She also serves on two advisory boards. Mrs. Johnson is a Community Coach for Turning the Tide on Poverty, funded by Mississippi State University. She is a member of Sylvian Ridge Baptist Church in Macon. She and her husband, Dennis Johnson, have one son and two grandsons.

Mr. McDade is a life-long resident of Kemper County and the Townsend Community. After graduating from DeKalb High School in 1967, he attended EMCC, then continued his education at Mississippi State University earning a bachelor’s degree in the field of education in 1971. Mr. McDade was a self-employed business owner in the gas and oil distribution business for 40 years. He has served on various boards over the years for economic development and education. He currently serves on the boards for the Kemper County Utility District and Forestry Association while also serving as President of the Townsend Water Association. He is actively involved as a member and deacon of Bay Springs Baptist Church. He was married to the late Latitia Bryan McDade for almost 49 years. He has three children and is the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren.

Mr. Mosley worked in the Lauderdale County School District from 1990-2022 . He is a veteran educator, holding several positions such as teacher, assistant principal, and director of personnel. He is active in his community, serving on several boards, both past and present, such as Meridian Muna Federal Credit Union, The Boys and Girls Club, The Hilltop House for Boys, The United Way, and The Boy Scouts of America. He is married to Adrian Turuaud Mosley. They have three children, Royce, Justin and Victoria, and six grandchildren. They are active members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Meridian.

Susan Cumberland Morgan is a native of Kemper County who currently lives in DeKalb. She earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Mississippi State University. After thirty years in education, she retired from East Mississippi Community College in June, 2020.

At EMCC, she worked in several different roles. She was a Computer Science instructor, Distance Learning Coordinator, Coordinator of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and Workforce Development Coordinator.

She serves on the Board of Commissioners of the Kemper County Utility District. She is the current Chairman of the Board.

She is a member of the Kemper County Civic League and the Mississippi State Bulldog Club. She attends DeKalb Presbyterian Church.

She is married to Timothy Morgan.

Evelyn Murray is a native of Noxubee County. She retired in 2009 after being employed for 44 years in the Noxubee County School District.  She taught junior high and high school English; served as high school assistant principal, and District Test Coordinator; Federal Education Programs Director and was appointed to the Board of the Mississippi Association of Federal Education Programs Directors.  Mrs. Murray currently serves as an Alderwoman for the Town of Shuqualak.  She attended Jackson State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Language Arts. From Mississippi State University, she earned Master's Degrees in English and Educational Leadership. She and her husband Pastor Murray have five children.

Dr. Sean Owen serves as the Associate Dean of the College of Professional and Continuing Studies at Mississippi State University (MSU), where he oversees the Bachelor of Applied Science program and plays a key role in developing strategic initiatives to enhance workforce readiness and adult education. A resident of Oktibbeha County since 1998 and EMCC Board of Trustees appointee in 2024, Dr. Owen holds a Ph.D. in Education from MSU, a Master of Science in Biology from Delta State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Mississippi. He has led significant efforts in redesigning statewide assessment systems for Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. His leadership has been instrumental in fostering partnerships with community colleges, the military, and industry, and in building programs that support career advancement and lifelong learning. Dr. Owen is also a dedicated family man, married to Emily Manning Owen, with whom he shares two children, Jackson and Caroline.

Lisa Wynn, is an Oktibbeha County native. She is the appointed municipal clerk for the Town of Maben. Wynn attended Mississippi State University and Mississippi University for Women. Wynn holds certification in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). She is a former teacher for the Starkville-Oktibbeha County School District. Wynn was an alderwoman for the City of Starkville where she served from 2013-2017 and was a member of the city's budget committee. During her time as alderwoman, Wynn served as the city liaison on the Starkville-Oktibbeha County Library Board and the Starkville Housing Authority Board. Wynn is a certified municipal officer (CMO) and a certified municipal clerk (CMC) and is presently a candidate for international clerk certification through the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. Wynn is a former trustee for the Starkville Oktibbeha County Library. In addition to her duties as an appointed government official Wynn does consulting and grant writing work for various non-profit agencies and private sector entities.
Wynn is a member of the Mississippi Municipal Clerks Association and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks where she has begun working on her Master Municipal Clerk certification (MMC). Wynn was appointed by the Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors to serve as an East Mississippi College trustee in April 2024. She is the mother of 1st Lt'. Tyler I. Wynn (United States Army).
