All participants must be employed by a law enforcement agency.
The EMCC Law Enforcement Training offers BJOST Certified Juvenile and Adult Detention Officer Training for area Law Enforcement Agencies. The 96-hour course includes the Standardized Detention Officer Course, O.C. Certification/Recertification, tactical handcuffing, and TASER Certification. Juvenile Detention Officers must complete an additional 24-hour course specifically designed for Juvenile Officers following the Standardized Detention Officer Course.
We also offer Strategic Self-Defense and Grappling Tactics for Law Enforcement Officers. The 24-hour course includes defense against common grabs, holds, strikes and attacks against the officer’s weapon in standing situations and when the struggle is on the ground. It also teaches officers how to control and gain compliance over the subject in a ground grappling situation and defense against knife attacks.
Spanish classes are available for Law Enforcement
personnel to enable officers to effectively communicate
with Spanish-speaking individuals. TASER certification may
be scheduled on an as-needed basis.
