Certified Coding Associate

This program is for individuals interested in entry level Medical Coder careers.  The class provides training in several aspects of the profession such as Payment Systems, HIPAA, Patient Registration Practices, Medical Terminology, Utilization of Medical Billing, and Interpretation of Forms 1450 and 1500.  After successful completion of the approximately 200-hour course, the participant will receive a certification of completion.

Selection Criteria:

All students are required to turn in an application and complete the WorkKeys entrance exam.  The WorkKeys scores required must be a minimum of Silver level (4 or higher).

Certification: Students must have a high school diploma or equivalency before being eligible to sit for the CCA examination. The CCA certification exam assesses entry level skills.
