  • Celebrating progress: EMCC's Industry Appreciation Luncheon

    Economic development in Mississippi won’t happen overnight. But prosperity has its foot in the door in the Golden Triangle. That was the message from Brent Christensen, executive director of the Mississippi Development Authority, April 24 at EMCC's 24th Annual Golden Triangle Campus Industry Appreciation Luncheon.

  • Job Fair 4-19 update: More employers, free seminars

    Three free job search seminars have been added to the line-up May 1 at the East Mississippi Job Fair. This update includes information on these sessions, registration forms, a list of employers who have already RSVPed for the event and other useful links and advice for fair-goers.

  • Charles Doremus: From "GED" to "job" in one year

    Charles Doremus Jr. worked the system to perfection on his way to a job. The Colorado transplant began GED classes at EMCC's Golden Triangle campus in February of last year, earned his GED in June, used EMCC’s GED-Workforce scholarship to take several welding courses and found himself employed at Plymouth Tube in Eupora in February.

  • Upcoming East Mississippi Job Fair: April 5 update

    The East Mississippi Job Fair is coming up May 1 at EMCC's Golden Triangle campus in Mayhew. The list of employers attending has been updated with links to their websites ... so job-seekers can research the possibilities before they ever arrive.
