MSIEP/Virtual Weather College
Welcome to the East Mississippi Community College (EMCC) Virtual Weather College (VWC) website. The VWC is sponsored through the Minority Science and Engineering Improvement Program (MSEIP), Award No. P120A060061; supported by the U.S. Department of Education. The VWC's primary goal is to increase the number of underrepresented minorities entering the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields through the study of weather-related sciences. The VWC provides an outstanding career path for students majoring in meteorology, climatology, and other geoscience disciplines. The VWC is a partnership between EMCC and Mississippi State University.
Through the VWC, students can receive an Associate of Arts from EMCC and a Bachelors degree from Mississippi State University, completely through distance learning technologies, primarily the internet.
What are the goals for VWC?
