How I got here:
My name is Cody Crane, I am from Fulton. I have an older brother, a younger sister and great parents. I graduated from Itawamba Agricultural High School in 2008. I decided to come to East Mississippi Community College simply because I was not ready for a four-year college, but still wanted to live in a college town.
What I’ve accomplished:
When I came to EMCC I really had no clue what I wanted to pursue, but the EMCC staff gave me great help and guidance and led me to a field of study I actually enjoyed. When I began the Business & Marketing Management Technology program, it was obvious that I would fit right in. I have enjoyed all of my time here at EMCC.
I am going to Mississippi State University in the fall, to pursue a degree in business marketing. After I graduate from MSU, I plan to move back home and help run the family construction business as an office manager.
First of all, I would recommend coming to EMCC to anyone and everyone. EMCC has a career tech plan that anyone would enjoy, and grow from. The best way to get the most out of your time at EMCC is to look into the programs before you just start taking classes, and find something that really interests you.
What his instructor, Lori Smith, says:
Cody comes to EMCC and the Business & Marketing Management Technology program with a unique perspective. He is quiet and reserved in class, but has developed a lot of friendships with students all over campus. Cody has grown as a student and as a person during his time in the program. I am looking forward to seeing what he will accomplish in his future career.
