How I got here:
My family convinced me to continue my education. I selected East Mississippi Community College because I felt it was an excellent school. My hobbies involve reading and electronics.
What I’ve accomplished:
I’ve always been interested in electronics, so Electronic Engineering Technology seemed like a good fit. The quality of instruction at EMCC has been excellent.
I haven’t set any career goals yet, but I’m sure my education at EMCC and the Electronic Engineering Technology program are helping to prepare me for a career in the electronics field.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Teachers are more than willing to give you the extra help you may need.
What his instructor, Bob Lovelace, says:
William has been an outstanding student. Instructors at EMCC work hard to prepare our students for work in their respective fields of study. William’s hobby of reading has put him far ahead of most and I’m so lucky that he enjoys the electronics.
Fall 2013: William Alford graduated with highest honors in spring 2012, earning an Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology. He decided to continue his education by pursuing a complementary degree at EMCC, and is now entering his second year in the Computer Networking Technology program.
