  • EMCC recruiters invite high school students to "First Fridays"

    East Mississippi Community College's recruiters invite high school juniors and seniors, and their parents, to "First Fridays" coming up on Oct. 7 and Nov. 4. The sessions give prospective students a chance to attend an informational session on the Golden Triangle or Scooba campus, take a tour and learn more about scholarships, programs and campus organizations.

  • EMCC Marketing graduate lauds smooth transfer to MUW

    Carl Estes, 20, will be able to apply technical credits he earned at EMCC toward a bachelor’s degree at Mississippi University for Women. “Being able to transfer the technical credits is a big deal,” Estes said. “Otherwise, I would have had to go back and take a ton of classes in order to earn a bachelor’s degree. I wouldn’t do it if that were the case.”

  • Netflix, EMCC announce season two of "Last Chance U"

    East Mississippi Community College, in conjunction with the world’s leading internet television provider, Netflix, announced Aug. 15 that the ground-breaking documentary series “Last Chance U” will be renewed for a second season.

  • Netflix "Last Chance U" series getting international attention

    A Netflix sports documentary that shines an unflinching spotlight on EMCC’s football program has been garnering international attention and positive reviews that began even before its Friday release. The six-part series titled “Last Chance U” was released worldwide at 12:01 a.m. Friday to Netflix members. By noon Friday, the official Netflix trailer of the documentary on YouTube had 444,710 views.
