EMCC Libraries

East Mississippi Community College’s libraries, at the Scooba and Golden Triangle campuses, have available for student use: 48,000 print books; 162 periodicals; 3,166 videos; reference services; computers with Internet access; free printing; Inter-Library Loan; online databases; online streaming digital video; online catalog, online digitized yearbooks dating back to 1934; library orientation and online instruction; fax services; scanners and copy machines. ​
 ​

​EMCC offers access to more than 70,000 full-text electronic online books through ProQuest ebrary (25,000 titles) and the EbscoHost electronic-books in MELO (45,000). Over 2 million titles are available with Inter-Library Loan, via Mississippi Library Partnership (MLP), administered by Mississippi State University. EMCC has been a member of the MLP consortium since 2009.

 

The libraries are open an average of 65 hours each week. Librarians and staff are available during these hours by telephone, in person, and by email. After hours, EMCC librarians can be reached by email or through 24/7 Ask a Librarian email and chat services.

Circulation:​ Students, faculty and staff may check out books for a two-week period. A fine of 25 cents per day is assessed for overdue books. Renewal is permitted.​ ​
Reserves:​ ​Reserve and reference books may not be removed from the library.
Databases:​
​Passwords are needed for off-campus access to databases.
