 Dual Enrollment / Dual Credit

Dual enrollment is a program at East Mississippi Community College that allows eligible high school students currently attending public and private high schools, or students who are home-schooled, to simultaneously enroll in a college course. Dual-enrolled students can take classes through either the Academic Division or the Career-Technical Division.
What's the difference between a dual-enrolled student and dual-credit student?

A dual-enrolled student is a student who is enrolled in a community college or state institution of higher learning while also enrolled in high school.

A dual credit student is a student who is enrolled in a community college or state institution of higher learning while enrolled in high school and who is receiving high school and college credit at the same time for post-secondary coursework.
