Why Welding & Fabrication? Here's what our students say ...
It's one thing for us to tell you why attending East Mississippi Community College is a good idea.
It's another for our students to tell you why they chose EMCC and how it worked out. So, here are some links to stories from Lion Country, told by the students who lived them.
|Why EMCC? I consider myself an artist ...
Jesse Pounders graduated from EMCC in spring 2012 with an associate's degree in welding and fabrication. "I like the idea of creating works of art to be enjoyed and used, things that are functional as well as aesthetically pleasing, whether it is a bush hog, bridge or bottle tree," Pounders said.
Why I chose EMCC ... I love muscle cars!
Steven "Bear" Hunt graduated from EMCC's Welding & Metal Fabrication program in spring 2012. "I chose welding because of the different things you can do, from being creative to fixing things," he said. "I like how my teacher takes the time to explain how the task at hand goes, how it works." In this story, Steven Hunt takes a look at what brought him to EMCC ... and what's next.
