My name is Shalita Miller. I am 21 years old. I am happily engaged to Devexkiyo Bankhead, and we have two daughters, ages 3 years and 7 months. I attend New Hope United Methodist Church. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I graduated from Noxubee County High School in May 2007.
What I’m doing:
I decided to choose nursing because I love caring for and helping others. I am really learning a lot in my class. My instructor, Mrs. Jackson, makes things easy to understand. I really enjoy the hands‐on experience that we get in the clinicals in DeKalb and Macon.
My career goal is to become successful in the health care field. After graduation in May, I plan to take a job as a certified nurse assistant and work while I continue my education.
Believe in yourself and put your all in it.
What her instructor, Jennifer Jackson, says:
Shalita is a very dedicated student who commutes to Scooba daily from the Golden Triangle area. She works hard, attends class regularly and always comes to class prepared to do her best. Eager to enter the health care profession, Shalita is interested in advancing her nursing career past the Certified Nurse Assistant level.
