The drop period ends at the end of the work day on the 2nd day of the online class. Do not count on being turned in as a "NO SHOW" by your instructor. Be sure to complete a drop form by the 2nd day of the online class or you will be charged for the classes you registerd for. Dropping a class A drop must occur during the FIRST 2 days of online class to avoid paying for the course (this does not apply to fees). The student must complete and submit a drop form during the first 2 days of the online class. After the first 2 days, the student can no longer drop the class but can complete a withdrawal form (will still be chareged for the courses) to withdraw to avoid a grade for the class. See withdrawal instructions below: Withdrawing from a class: The student is responsible for taking the necessary steps to withdraw from a class before the listed deadline for online withdrawals. All EMCC students must complete, sign and submit a withdrawal form in order to withdraw from a class. Students can obtain this form from the campus where you registered. Emailing your instructor will NOT withdraw you from the course. The student will complete a WITHDRAWAL form for each class the student does not wish to complete. Students ARE still charged for classes they withdraw from. Administrative Withdrawals by Instructor For Excessive absences: All students are expected to attend class and submit assignments on a continued weekly basis.Failure to participate in class may result in the student being administratively withdrawn from class by the instructor. If this happens the student will still be required to pay for the course. A student who wishes to appeal an EMCC class administrative withdrawal due to excessive unexcused absences must do so See MSVCC Calendar for the last day to withdraw from an online class. |
