Tristian Crimm can't sit still. She has to be doing something. Crimm has been a fixture at the Golden Triangle since she was 16. First, she earned a GED. Then she graduated from the Certified Nurse Assistant program. Next, she interned for 270 hours and registered for a full-time course load to qualify for the Practical Nursing program. Now, she's graduated from the PN program and plans to study to become a Registered Nurse.

Anna Dotson knew since junior high school that she wanted to become a nurse. Thursday night, she fulfilled that dream. Dotson, 23, a McCool native who lives in Columbus, was one of 27 students who graduated July 7 from EMCC’S Practical Nursing program during a ceremony at the Golden Triangle campus.

Nurse Brian Fitzgerald surprised exactly zero people by winning the Mississippi Health Care Association’s 2014 Caregiver of the Year Award for his area. Fitzgerald, a 2009 graduate of EMCC's Practical Nursing program, has worked at The Carrington Nursing Center in Starkville for the past four years.

The Division of Nursing and Allied Health at EMCC teamed up with the Mississippi chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association to host the 2013 Walk to End Alzheimer’s Oct. 13 at EMCC’s Golden Triangle campus.

Students in EMCC’s Registered Nurse and Practical Nursing programs hosted a "Pink Out" pot luck at the Golden Triangle campus in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It was all-pink clothes and all-pink food to remind people about self-checks and mammagrams.
