Hundreds of Boy Scouts took up residence Nov. 9-11 at EMCC’s Golden Triangle campus for the Pushmataha Area Council Camporee. They hailed from towns all over north Mississippi, including Columbus, Starkville, West Point, Aberdeen, Ackerman, Eupora, Caledonia and New Hope.
The Scouts set up camp Friday, and spent Saturday taking merit badge classes taught by EMCC instructors in Art, Automotive Maintenance, Computers, Citizenship, Drafting, Electricity, Electronics, Engineering, First Aid, Law, Photography, Pottery, Pulp and Paper, Radio, Robotics, Salesmanship, Welding and Woodworking.
Thanks, Pushmataha Area Council, for choosing EMCC for your event! It was great ... and just goes to show, there’s a reason they call EMCC a “community college.”
