Camp AMP wraps inaugural year

East Mississippi Community College’s Manufacturing Technology and Engineering Division hosted its inaugural Camp AMP (Advanced Manufacturing Professionals) program in June. The week-long camps introduced middle school and high school students to manufacturing methods used by high-tech employers in the Golden Triangle with tours of local industries and hands-on activities at EMCC’s Center for Manufacturing Technology Excellence. Camp AMP will return to EMCC next summer.
