Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann moderated a round-table discussion Thursday, Feb. 15, at the newly-constructed Lowndes County School District's Career & Technical Center.

The Johnny W. Fisher Math and Science Building at East Mississippi Community College’s Golden Triangle campus was officially dedicated Monday, Feb. 19, during a ceremony attended by family, friends and co-workers of the building’s namesake.

Gamers from throughout the region are expected to take part in a LAN (Local Area Network) Party Feb. 23 from 6 p.m. to midnight in the Lyceum Auditorium on the Golden Triangle campus.

Past and present administrators at EMCC, students and faculty gathered at the Orr Center for Christian Activity for the unveiling of a bronze plaque titled "The Love Story of Buster & Jeanie Orr."

About 250 cowgirls and cowboys will saddle up for three nights of adrenaline-fueled bronc-riding, bull-busting rodeo action at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center. Gates open at 7 p.m. nightly Feb. 22-24 during the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) sanctioned event hosted by East Mississippi Community College and sponsored by HMR Veterans Services, Inc.
