SUMMER SCIENCE CAMPS 2007

East Mississippi Community College will host its 2nd Annual MSEIP Camps this summer. These camps are made possible by grant funding through the Minority Science and Engineering Improvement Program, a division of the Department of Education.

The camps will serve students from our district. While participating in the camps, the students will be exposed to scientific principles in a hands-on, laboratory based setting. The students will also participate in field sampling techniques from various ecosystems in our area, fossil hunts, and field trips.

As a continuation of the camps, the students who participate in the camps will have the opportunity to participate in events throughout the school year, such as field trips and guest speakers.
