The
Center at EMCC celebrated it's official Grand Opening on August
25, 1999. About 300 local, state and federal officials and guests
(top left, l to r) attended; Senator Trent Lott was the featured
speaker as he greets Mayor George Wade, of Columbus; The Center's
Advisory Board cuts the ribbon; TVA Chairman Craven Crowell (bottom,
l to r) was a guest speaker; Senator Lott greets EMCC President
Tommy Davis; Dr. Malcom Portera, president of Mississippi State
University and James Boyd, plant manager of Holcim, Inc., were
guest speakers.
