Coach "Bull" Sullivan unveiling:
A larger-than-life statue for a larger-than-life man
Saturday, Oct. 6, 1:15 p.m.
Exciting news from the “Bull” Sullivan Division of the Development Foundation:
A 7-foot bronze statue of Coach "Bull" Sullivan will be unveiled before kick-off of the Homecoming match-up between the EMCC Lions and the Bulldogs of Holmes Community College. Artist Ben Watts of Columbia was commissioned to create the statue. You may see more of his work online at www.benwattsbronzes.com
The statue has already arrived on campus and has been installed at Sullivan-Windham Field, where it waits under a black tarp for Homecoming 2012. And all of "Bull" Sullivan's children are expected to attend the unveiling ceremony.
The bronze statue cost about $60,000. If you would like to support the project with a donation, there are several ways:
- $200, brick paver located in the Walk of Champions leading up to the statue.
- $500, brick paver located at the base of the statue.
The brick may contain three lines of print with 14 letters or spaces per line, to designate the person being honored or memorialized.
- $2,500, miniature (about 18 inches tall) bronze of the original. Perfect for home or office.
- $2,000, memorial marble benches around the base of the statue.
Please send your tax-deductible donation today to EMCC Foundation Office, P.O. Box 158, Scooba MS 39358. Click this link for a form where you can indicate your giving preferences. You can also charge the gift on your Visa or Master Card by calling (662) 476-5063.
Or touch bases with Nick Clark, vice president of Institutional Advancement & Alumni Affairs, or his administrative assistant, Gina Cotton, during Homecoming weekend.
Thank you very much.
