  • Kemper Countians to take top awards at Homecoming 2016

    Two EMCC alumni from Kemper County will be honored Oct. 15 during Homecoming 2016 in Scooba. Randy Galloway, deputy center director for NASA’s John C. Stennis Space Center, has been selected as the college’s Alumnus of the Year. Ike Hopper, a longtime EMCC supporter and member of the Development Foundation Board, will receive the Distinguished Service Award.

  • Netflix, EMCC announce season two of "Last Chance U"

    East Mississippi Community College, in conjunction with the world’s leading internet television provider, Netflix, announced Aug. 15 that the ground-breaking documentary series “Last Chance U” will be renewed for a second season.

  • Netflix "Last Chance U" series getting international attention

    A Netflix sports documentary that shines an unflinching spotlight on EMCC’s football program has been garnering international attention and positive reviews that began even before its Friday release. The six-part series titled “Last Chance U” was released worldwide at 12:01 a.m. Friday to Netflix members. By noon Friday, the official Netflix trailer of the documentary on YouTube had 444,710 views.
