  • EMCC students attend Southern Invitational Choral Festival

Members of the East Mississippi Community College Choir and Reflection Singers participated in the Southern Invitational Choral Conference Sept. 29-30 at the University of Southern Mississippi and performed in a mass choir of 300 voices at Main Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.

  • EMCC honors graduate took "TIME" to find his way

Dalvin Tate had a good idea what he wanted to do with his life, all he needed was a little TIME. While a student at Starkville High School, Tate was chosen for the TIME (Technology Initiative in Manufacturing and Engineering) program at EMCC. He graduated from EMCC this year as a member of the first Honors class at the Golden Triangle campus ... and is now studying computer engineering at Mississippi State University.

  • Registration open for "mini-terms" that start in October

Registration is going on now for the Second Fall "Mini-term" at EMCC. What is a mini-term? It’s a way of taking traditional or online college classes over a much shorter period of time. Mini-term classes start Oct. 13 at four EMCC locations. The online mini-term starts Oct. 20.

  • Now's the time: EMCC offers free deal on GED practice tests

If you’ve been thinking about getting your GED, there may never be a better time. From Sept. 22 through Oct. 3, EMCC's Adult Basic Education-GED division, The Launch Pad, will offer GED practice tests free of charge through GED Testing Service. Plus, students will have the opportunity to earn vouchers to take the official GED free, too.

 Welcome back, students!
