EMCC offers FREE ABE program services for adults

EMCC offers the free Adult Basic Education Program (ABE) to individuals needing to refresh or upgrade their skills in order to enter EMCC or other colleges and training programs, gain or improve employment, or earn a GED diploma. These free classes are designed for adults who are 17 years of age and older who are not enrolled in public school. Funded with federal dollars distributed to EMCC by the Mississippi State Board for Community and Junior Colleges, ABE provides adults opportunities to:

• Prepare for entry into EMCC and other colleges and training programs,
• Earn a GED diploma,
• Build work-readiness (employment and pre-employment) skills,
• Prepare for pre-employment tests and certifications, and
• Gain basic computer skills.

Individuals may enter the program any time during the year. Day and/or night class schedules are available in Clay, Kemper, Lowndes and Noxubee Counties. There is no charge for EMCC ABE program services.
