The COMPASS test is one of two entrance/placement exams administered to prospective students by EMCC’s Counseling Center. In some cases, it can replace the ACT as an admission requirement. The COMPASS test evaluates students’ abilities in reading, writing and math. Results are used to place students in academic or career-technical programs appropriate to maximize success. Pre-registration is required and there is a $20 fee. Make sure you have the following when you arrive for the test: picture ID, receipt for $20 fee and a pencil.
